Right beside the main house: excavation and forms, footings and rebar, foundation walls, a gravel base with the plumbing stubbed through, rigid foam and the slab pour.
The walls are framed on the slab and raised against the house, the roof and sheathing close the shell, house wrap goes on, then lap siding to match the main house and new windows. Rough-in and drywall follow.
It ends with the finished kitchen, living room and bath, and the front with its dual entry.
This 53-second film combines MNBE construction footage and project photographs with instrumental music and no spoken narration. The opening sets the excavation beside the finished attached ADU. Forms and footings are set next to the main house, rebar goes in, the foundation walls are poured, and a gravel base with plumbing stubs, rigid foam and the slab pour follow.
